Hello. My name is Ken. I'm a massage therapist licensed in the state of North Carolina. I am an active member of the American Bodywork and Massage Professional Association. (ABMP).
I attended Ohio University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education along with playing football on a scholarship. I earned a Masters degree in Counselor Education from the University of Dayton. I spent 11 years both as a elementary teacher and guidance counselor.
After graduation from Ohio University, I became interested in wholistic medicine. My particular interests were in the area of herbs, vitamin supplementation, relaxing techniques along with diet and daily exercise as a means of obtaining optimal health and well being. Eventually, I decided that I wanted to be involved in work where I could be instrumental in helping people improve their quality of life. Massage therapy just seemed to be the right fit.
In 1994, I graduated from the Central Ohio School of Massage. I soon began a private practice. In 1997, I also began working in a chiropractor's office. By 2000, I was working in both a chiropractor's office as well as a physical therapy clinic. Eighteen years of my massage experience has been in a clinic setting.
I have worked with athletes from Ashland, Capitol, Ohio University, The Ohio State University and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
I look forward to working with any future patients who are experiencing pain and discomfort and eager to get well. May we take this journey together.
